New player in the market for IT Consulting & Managed Service

evoila acquires a majority stake in Microsoft specialists COPiTOS

15.06.2023. Mainz/Frankfurt am Main. To strengthen its position in the European IT consulting market, evoila Group (“evoila”), Mainz, has acquired a majority stake in COPiTOS GmbH. This exciting partnership brings an established brand in the Microsoft environment directly into the portfolio of the Mainz-based cloud experts. COPiTOS GmbH, with locations in Frankfurt and Luxembourg, perfectly complements evoila’s existing offering.

With the acquisition of COPiTOS GmbH, evoila expands its business units with 60 Microsoft experts who bring their expertise to the cloud technologies of VMware, AWS and cloud-native applications. In addition, the complementary service areas for Security, Big Data, Development, Networking and Managed Services will also be strengthened.

COPiTOS GmbH will continue to successfully support its existing customers as an independent brand. At the same time, the combined expertise and extensive resources of the evoila group will be available for new projects in the Microsoft environment. Uwe Kirchhoff, former managing director of COPiTOS GmbH, will remain a shareholder and will manage COPiTOS GmbH together with Johannes Hiemer from evoila.

With this acquisition, the evoila Group grows to over 315 employees. The company is now represented in Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Poland, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Bosnia. Its customers include well-known banks and insurance companies, large industrial enterprises, and federal and state authorities in Germany and Austria.

Technical expertise as a decisive advantage

The growth means that evoila can now act even better as the main contact for major projects.

“Our key advantage lies in our technical expertise in increasingly complex IT environments. evoila was founded by engineers and software developers, and we have maintained this technical implementation focus. Our guiding principles are ‘Get things done’ and ‘No bullshit’. At COPiTOS, the same mindset prevails – in business, but also humanly it just fits. We are convinced that we will grow successfully in the market with the new synergies and the clear technical orientation,” commented Johannes Hiemer, CEO of evoila.

Uwe Kirchhoff, Managing Director of COPiTOS GmbH, added: “COPiTOS already has an established customer base, expertise and an excellent reputation in the Microsoft world. evoila, on the other hand, has extensive references in all complementary areas and an extremely strong sales organization. Together we have now reached the size to enter the premier league of consulting and managed service providers.”

evoila – get it done no bulls#!t!

And who are the real heroes behind evoila? The nerds who shape the future every day with cutting-edge technologies. The Mainz-based company with over 240 employees is led by the two managing directors Johannes Hiemer (CEO) and Lars Göbel (CRO). Founded in 2015, over time the company added offices in Austria, Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland, Switzerland and now Luxembourg. evoila is a holistic solution provider with a focus on consulting, training and managed services.
