Im Zuge unseres weiteren Wachstums möchten wir unser Team verstärken und suchen eine erfahrene Persönlichkeit als Unit Lead Data Engineering (m/w/d).
In dieser Rolle übernimmst du die fachliche und disziplinarische Führung unseres Data-Engineering-Teams, treibst innovative Datenprojekte voran und entwickelst gemeinsam mit uns zukunftsweisende technologische Lösungen.
Dich erwartet ein spannender Mix aus Greenfield-Projekten und der Weiterentwicklung bestehender Plattformen mit Fokus auf moderne Data-Lakehouse-Architekturen.
Neben deiner technischen und fachlichen Verantwortung gestaltest du aktiv den weiteren Ausbau der Unit – von Strategie und Portfolioentwicklung bis hin zur Unterstützung im Pre-Sales und Business Development.

Deine Qualifikation:
- Du verfügst über Berufserfahrung, Studium oder Ausbildung im Bereich der IT
- Mehrjährige (5+ Jahre) Erfahrung im Data Engineering
- Fundierte Erfahrung mit Databricks (z. B. Delta Lake, Spark, Workflows)
- Erfahrung in der fachlichen oder disziplinarischen Führung von Teams oder der Leitung komplexer Projekte
- Kenntnisse moderner Datenarchitekturen (z. B. Data Lakehouse, Data Mesh)
- Sicherer Umgang mit Python, SQL und/oder Scala
- Erfahrung mit Cloud-Plattformen (Azure, AWS oder GCP) und DevOps-/DataOps-Praktiken (z. B. CI/CD, Git, Terraform)
- Strukturierte und selbständige Arbeitsweise
- Gute Kommunikationsfähigkeit sowie eine schnelle Auffassungsgabe
- Deutsch in Wort und Schrift (C2) / Englisch mind. B2
Tätigkeitsschwerpunkte:
- Fachliche und disziplinarische Führung des Data-Engineering-Teams
- Aufbau, Konzeption und Weiterentwicklung moderner Datenplattformen und Data-Lakehouse-Architekturen (z. B. auf Basis von Databricks)
- Strategische Beratung unserer Kunden bei der Einführung und Skalierung datengetriebener Plattformen in unterschiedlichen Branchen
- Entwicklung und Optimierung von ETL-/ELT-Pipelines zur Verarbeitung großer Datenmengen in Batch- und Streaming-Szenarien
- Sicherstellung von Qualität, Best Practices und technischer Exzellenz im Team – von Code Reviews über Architekturentscheidungen bis hin zu Standards für DataOps und CI/CD
- Aktive Mitgestaltung der Unit-Strategie, des Portfolios sowie Unterstützung bei Go-to-Market- und Pre-Sales-Aktivitäten

Usually the interviews (online and on-site) will take place with you, a potential unit lead/business unit lead for your position, and, if applicable, a colleague and an HR representative.
