Security: finally one platform
Distributed sites, cloud applications, and mobile users overwhelm classic MPLS architectures every single day. Organizations that continue to run network and security as separate stacks pay twice: in cost and in risk. Fortinet SD-WAN combines intelligent link management across fiber, DSL, and LTE with native SASE: Zero-trust access, ZTNA, SWG, and CASB from a single platform.
Yesterday’s WAN is slowing today’s business
Classic WAN architectures were built for a world where applications lived in the data center and users sat at fixed desks. That world no longer exists. SaaS applications such as Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and SAP S/4HANA have moved to the cloud, employees work in hybrid models, and branch offices require reliable, secure internet access, not just a tunnel back to headquarters.
The result of legacy architectures is predictable: applications backhauled over MPLS to the data center before reaching the internet introduce artificial latencies of 80–200 ms. Every new branch means weeks of lead time for MPLS provisioning, manual firewall configurations, and fragmented security policies. IT teams juggle network management consoles, firewall dashboards, and SIEM systems, without a unified operational picture.
The consequences are measurable
Declining user productivity, rising operational costs and a security model that ends at the perimeter edge, exactly where modern attacks Your network was built for a world that no longer exists.
The good news: this is a solved problem
evoila has seen this exact situation across hundreds of enterprise networks. The path forward is not another workaround layered onto legacy infrastructure, it is a platform built for the way your business actually operates today. Your network can look very different in only 90 days.
Our Solution
SD-WAN meets SASE: the platform for distributed enterprises
With Fortinet SD-WAN and SASE, evoila closes the gap between network performance and security. Instead of separate boxes for routers, firewalls, and WAN optimization, all functions converge in a single FortiGate appliance, or in the cloud-native FortiSASE platform for fully cloud-managed scenarios.
The foundation is a set of high-performance connectivity products: fiber connections as the primary link for maximum bandwidth and low latency, DSL as a cost-optimized secondary path, and LTE/5G as an always-ready failover option.
The integrated SD-WAN engine steers traffic across all available links based on application type and policy — automatically, in real time, without manual intervention. Microsoft 365 traffic breaks out directly to the internet, ERP data is prioritized over fiber, and video conferencing receives guaranteed bandwidth.
At evoila you’ll get SD-WAN and SASE combined with the lines and cellular. One stop shop for your modern WAN infrastructure.
Technologies that make the difference
Modern WAN architecture requires more than fast links and a firewall at the edge. Performance, security and connectivity resilience need to be managed as a single converged system, where each layer informs the others. The following three components deliver exactly that, each engineered for its role and built to work as one.
Fortinet SD-WAN: intelligent link management
The Fortinet SD-WAN stack is deeply integrated into the FortiOS operating system and leverages a dedicated network processor for hardware-level throughput. Applications are classified via Deep Packet Inspection and the FortiGuard Application Control database with over 5,000 signatures. The result: every application receives the optimal path, based on latency, jitter, packet loss, and defined SLA thresholds measured in real time across all links. On link failure, the engine switches to the next available path in under 300 milliseconds, transparently, without session drops.
Benefits of using Fortinet SD-WAN
- Every application travels its optimal path
- Seamless failover in under 300 milliseconds
- Lower WAN costs, higher application performance
FortiSASE: zero trust from the cloud
FortiSASE is Fortinet’s cloud-native SASE platform that converges network and security functions across a global PoP network. Secure Web Gateway filters web traffic by category, reputation, and malware signatures. CASB governs access to SaaS applications and prevents data loss through granular DLP policies. ZTNA ensures that users can only reach explicitly authorised applications, based on identity, device health, and contextual signals, not on membership in a trusted network segment.
Benefits of using FortiSASE
- Identity-based access control, regardless of location
- Unified security policy across every environment
- Direct cloud access, secured at source
Connectivity products: the performance foundation
Fiber connections deliver symmetrical bandwidths from 100 Mbit/s up to 10 Gbit/s with round-trip times below 5 ms, the ideal backbone for real-time applications and cloud connectivity. DSL broadband complements the portfolio as a cost-optimized secondary path with bandwidth up to 250 Mbit/s. LTE and 5G serve as a fail-safe backup link that activates automatically on primary failure. SD-WAN aggregates all connections into a single logical WAN, delivering greater total bandwidth and higher resilience than any individual link alone.
Benefits of using connectivity products
- Resilient connectivity across fiber, DSL and LTE
- Aggregated bandwidth beyond any single link
- Automatic failover keeps connectivity always available
Our Network Partnerships
With our partners we can deliver the WAN performance you need
Technology Partner
Fortinet: The network is no longer just connectivity — it is your first line of defense. Fortinet SD-WAN and SASE unify intelligent link management, zero-trust security, and centralized visibility into one platform built for the way distributed enterprises actually operate today.
Strategic Partners
Telekom, Vodafone, o2: The physical WAN connections that Fortinet SD-WAN manages (fiber, DSL and LTE) are procured and coordinated directly through evoila’s partnerships with Germany’s leading network providers. One engagement covers both the platform and the lines it runs on.

FAQ
Commonly Asked Questions about SD-WAN and SASE
In most cases, yes. In some scenarios MPLS is retained as one of several WAN paths alongside fiber or DSL, with the SD-WAN engine automatically selecting the optimal path per application. Migration runs in parallel so live operations are never interrupted.
SD-WAN optimizes network connectivity and link management between sites. SASE adds a complete cloud-security layer on top: zero-trust access, web filtering, and CASB. Fortinet integrates both in a single platform so you no longer need to separate network and security projects.
For primary links we recommend fiber (AON/GPON) for its symmetrical bandwidth and low latency. DSL or cable broadband serves as a cost-optimized secondary path. LTE or 5G provides a fail-safe backup with automatic activation on primary failure. We procure all products directly and coordinate provisioning timelines across all sites.
A pilot migration of a single site typically takes 2–4 weeks including circuit provisioning. The enterprise-wide rollout is structured as a program. Based on experience, 10–15 sites per month can be migrated. Zero-touch provisioning reduces the physical on-site commissioning time to under 60 minutes per location.
