Features & Benefits

Everything Power BI can do for you

Power BI as a platform for data analysis

With Power BI, you give your employees the ability to analyze and visualize data and easily share insights from that data. Thanks to the many available connectors, incorporating new data into a report is quick and easy. This allows data to be extracted from sources before it can be processed and modeled within Power BI using Power Query. Employees are thus able to independently analyze your existing data in self-service mode and quickly gain knowledge from it.

Interactive reports and dashboards

When using Power BI, interaction with reports and dashboards is very user-friendly. There are tooltips that can display insights on individual data points, as well as the ability to view the data underlying a visual. Tables can also be displayed well in Power BI. Summaries of tables can be displayed by default, while the drill-down feature allows you to see the basis of this data. These interactive reports and dashboards can also be integrated into your own software with Power BI Embedded.

The right license for every application

No matter what situation your company finds itself in, Power BI offers a licensing solution that suits you and grows with you and your needs. You can get to know Power BI for free with Power BI Desktop. With a Power BI Pro per user license, which is already included in an E5 Microsoft license, for example, this content can then be shared online with the entire company. For larger models or more requirements, the Power BI Premium per user license is a good choice. If you want Power BI to be available for your entire company or if you want to extend your workloads to data science and data engineering, Microsoft Fabric capacities are a good choice.

Highly customisable

Power BI offers many ways to make your reports and dashboards stand out from the crowd. Starting with easy-to-use corporate designs, many aspects of Power BI are easily customizable. You can choose from more than 40 visualizations offered by Microsoft. If you have more specific needs, the AppSource marketplace in Power BI offers many more visualizations. If you can’t find a suitable visual, you can even use Python or R to integrate your own custom visualizations. This means there are no limits to your creativity.

A holistic data platform: Power BI in Microsoft Fabric

If your data requires major transformations that need to be created and maintained by your data analysts, Fabric capacity is recommended. Microsoft Fabric is a holistic data platform that offers a wide range of tools for successfully transforming and enriching data. This allows your data analysts to be less dependent on bottlenecks in data acquisition. In addition, there are connected options for using data science tools and Copilot to leverage the full potential of your data and take the first steps toward integrating AI into your business. Data mesh principles are applied, enabling decentralized data management.

Support from Copilot

Microsoft Copilot is included in the scope of Microsoft Fabric capabilities. Copilot enables the creation of Power BI reports based on prompts. You write to Copilot what you would like to see, and Copilot selects a suitable visualization as well as the necessary columns and calculations. Copilot can also be used to summarize existing reports and visualizations. It is also possible to have Copilot generate descriptions and documentation directly in the data model. Copilot enables your employees to use Power BI intuitively and in its entirety without any specialist knowledge.

Power BI helps you use business intelligence to make insights in your data tangible and gain new insights.

Stay one step ahead of your competition with Power BI and, if necessary, even Fabric.

Have we put you in a gold-rush mood?
Then let’s work together to mine insights that will move your business forward.
