Move Windows Servers, modernize SQL databases, build hybrid setups with Azure Arc. What looks like a standard project on slides quickly becomes complex in practice. Whether a partner truly masters this only becomes clear during implementation.
Microsoft has created a verification mechanism precisely for this purpose: the Advanced Specialization “Infra and Database Migration to Microsoft Azure”.
And evoila has now received this specialization.

What distinguishes this specialization from many other certifications: the partner does not submit a self assessment. An independent auditor reviews real customer projects against a detailed checklist. Windows Server migrations, SQL workloads, open source databases. Everything documented, everything verifiable. Technical implementation, security concepts, quality standards.
In addition, there are strict requirements: measurable Azure revenue in the relevant workload categories, certified experts in the team and customer references that Microsoft verifies directly. Anyone who passes this process has not simply completed an exam. Microsoft is effectively saying: this partner has proven in real projects that they master infrastructure and database migrations to Azure.

“The audit was not about ticking checklists. Microsoft wants to see that you not only implement migrations cleanly from a technical perspective, but that your approach stands up to a real quality standard. An external auditor verifies this based on real projects. It is intensive, but that is exactly what makes the difference compared to a certification that you can pass in an afternoon.“

If you are evaluating a partner for an Azure migration, this specialization provides you with an objective criterion. Microsoft has verified that evoila demonstrably masters infrastructure and database migrations to Azure. Not because we claim it, but because it has been proven through an independent audit.
There is also another aspect that many people overlook: funding. Microsoft provides significant resources through programs such as Azure Migrate and Modernize to accelerate migration projects.
As a specialized partner, we have access to extended incentives and can specifically support you in making use of these programs. Less risk when choosing a partner and potentially lower costs as well.
With the new specialization, evoila now holds four Microsoft Advanced Specializations: Cloud Security, Adoption and Change Management, Teamwork Deployment and now Infra and Database Migration to Microsoft Azure.
The fact that the first Azure specialization is in the migration area is no coincidence. Azure migrations are the starting point of the cloud strategy for many of our customers. Hybrid scenarios with Azure Arc, SQL modernization, the migration of entire Windows Server landscapes. We have been doing this for years.
Now our know how has also been officially confirmed by Microsoft.
The Infra and Database Migration specialization is one of the more demanding ones in the Microsoft partner program.
The independent audit, the performance requirements, the verified customer references: only partners worldwide who demonstrably implement Azure migrations at a high level go through this process.
For you as a customer, this is a clear indicator of quality.

“The specialization further strengthens our Microsoft partnership. For our customers this means: if you are looking for a partner for an Azure migration, this specialization is a strong argument. It also opens new doors for us at Microsoft, from extended funding options to co selling opportunities. Our customers benefit from this directly.“
