Kubernetes Platform Engineer Senior Consultant (m/f/d)

As part of our team of experienced cloud engineers, you will assume responsibility in customer projects following a comprehensive induction program.

About the job:

• Collaborate with colleagues to document and analyze customer requirements in the Kubernetes environment

• Create and coordinate concepts

• Conduct customer workshops and proof-of-concept installations as part of a team

• Provide customer consulting support using Kubernetes and container technologies

• Ensure close collaboration with other evoila teams, comprehending their concepts and solutions

• Offer sales support by establishing and maintaining customer relationships

• Ensure a long-term and collaborative partnership with our customers

• You aspire to enhance your skills in designing, building, and maintaining a modern, flexible, and highly available multi-cloud Kubernetes platform.

Who you are:

• Hold a university degree in computer science, e-technology, physics, or mathematics or related subjects

• Alternatively, have completed training as an IT specialist (m/f/d) for system integration

• Possess a confident demeanor, strong analytical and conceptual skills, the ability to work in a team, and a customer-oriented mindset

It would be optimal if …:

• You have experience in cloud native software development.

• You have practical experience with at least one on-premise kubernetes offering (Rancher, Openshift, Tanzu Kubernetes).

• You have at least 5 years' experience in building and maintaining a Kubernetes platform.

• You have technical experience with PaaS solutions (Cloud Foundry, Heroku, IBM Cloud etc..).

• You have technical experience with at least one of the biggest hyperscaler (EKS, AKS, GKE…).

• You are mastering all virtualization topics concerning an on-prem infrastructure and know how they can impact the Kubernetes environment (VMs, Storage solutions and their implementation, Networking at Layer4 and Layer7 with different providers, High-Availability etc..).

• You have technical know-how and experience about Edge topics in relation to Kubernetes and Containers.

Deine Aufgaben:

• Zusammenarbeit mit Kollegen zur Dokumentation und Analyse der Kundenanforderungen in der Kubernetes-Umgebung

• Erstellung und Koordination von Konzepten

• Durchführung Kunden-Workshops und Proof-of-Concept-Installationen im Team

• Kundenberatung unter Einsatz von Kubernetes und Containertechnologien

• Sicherstellung enger Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Teams von evoila, um deren Konzepte und Lösungen zu verstehen

• Unterstützung im Vertrieb durch den Aufbau und die Pflege von Kundenbeziehungen

• Sicherstellung einer langfristigen und partnerschaftlichen Zusammenarbeit mit unseren Kunden

• Du strebst danach, deine Fähigkeiten bei der Entwicklung, dem Aufbau und der Wartung einer modernen, flexiblen und hochverfügbaren Multi-Cloud-Kubernetes-Plattform zu erweitern

Was Du mitbringen solltest:

• Du hast einen Hochschulabschluss in Informatik, E-Technik, Physik oder Mathematik oder verwandten Fachrichtungen

• Alternativ: eine abgeschlossene Ausbildung zum Fachinformatiker (m/w/d) für Systemintegration

• Du verfügst über ein sicheres Auftreten, ausgeprägte analytische und konzeptionelle Fähigkeiten, Teamfähigkeit und eine kundenorientierte Denkweise

Optimal wäre es, wenn …:

• Du Erfahrung in der Entwicklung von Cloud Native Software hast.

• Du praktische Erfahrung mit mindestens einem on-premise kubernetes-Tool (Rancher, Openshift, Tanzu Kubernetes) hast.

• Du mindestens 5 Jahre Erfahrung im Aufbau und der Wartung einer Kubernetes-Plattform hast.

• Du technische Erfahrung mit PaaS-Lösungen (Cloud Foundry, Heroku, IBM Cloud etc.) hast.

• Du technische Erfahrung mit mindestens einem der größten Hyperscaler (EKS, AKS, GKE…) vorweisen kannst.

• Du alle Virtualisierungsthemen beherrschst, die eine On-Prem-Infrastruktur betreffen und weißt, wie sich diese auf die Kubernetes-Umgebung auswirken können (VMs, Storage-Lösungen und deren Implementierung, Networking auf Layer4 und Layer7 mit verschiedenen Providern, High-Availability etc.).

• Du technisches Know-how und Erfahrung besitzt mit Edge-Themen im Zusammenhang mit Kubernetes und Containern.
