The Company History of evoila
From Initiative to International Growth
What started as a focused technology initiative in Mainz has grown into an international IT consulting group across 15+ countries.
Built step by step: Funded by the work itself
In 2009, a handful of engineers in Mainz started with one goal: build IT that actually works. Since then, evoila has grown from a specialized VMware technology initiative into an international IT tech consultancy active around the world.
Through strategic acquisitions and continuous expansion, the company has built a strong presence across multiple markets – entirely self financed. This page highlights the key milestones that shaped evoila’s development over time.
Our very first step: How evoila started
evoila began as an initiative built around VMware technologies, with a strong focus on developing and automating training systems across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This early work established a solid technical foundation and a clear direction.
By 2012, that work had shaped itself into a structured startup. Three years later, evoila had become one of VMware’s most highly certified professional services partners in Europe. That status was earned on implementation track record, not on partner spend. It became the foundation on which everything that followed was built.
A few bold steps later: How evoila took off
Growth at evoila ran on two tracks simultaneously: expanding capabilities through targeted acquisitions, and entering new markets through local leadership. Neither waited for the other to finish.
HOB added network infrastructure expertise. Inleo brought Poland. COPiTOS extended the footprint to Luxembourg and Switzerland. PROSIS and Routed Hosting followed. Each move was chosen for what it added, technically and geographically, not for its size.
By 2025, the result was 15+ countries, 600+ specialists and a portfolio covering cloud & infrastructure, security & compliance, Modern Workplace, Application, Development & Modern Platform and Data & AI.
Still owner-managed. Still self-financed. Just considerably further from Mainz than the original team had imagined.
