Culture & Commitment

Nerd driven Spirit combined with professional Drive

At evoila, you can be who you are. We wear hoodies, we have opinions about Star Destroyer designs, and we find genuinely complex IT problems more interesting than easy ones. When it comes to client systems, we are uncompromisingly professional. These things are not in conflict.

Our Philosophy

Pragmatic partnerships over shiny slides

A short reality check on how we collaborate with our clients

“We are the nerdy colleague who tells you there is something in your teeth and shows up to help you move. The same principle applies to every client engagement.”

Carsten Landeck (evoila)

What culture actually means here

Most organisations describe their culture on a page and hope the description becomes reality. At evoila, culture is not declared. It shows up in decisions that get made when nobody senior is in the room: in the project that gets the extra hour because it is not quite right yet, in the honest client feedback that avoids a costly mistake, in the new colleague who is welcomed before they have proven anything.

The foundation is two orientations that look like opposites and are not. Engineering depth: genuine enthusiasm for technology, including the complex kind, the undocumented kind, the kind others have already given up on. And professional directness: the discipline to tell clients and colleagues what they need to hear, not what is comfortable. Together, these produce a culture that is hard to fake and, as it turns out, hard to copy.

“We get IT done. No Bullshit” also means this: if we make a mistake, we fix it. We do not believe in fingerpointing, we believe in solution oriented thinking.”

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions about our Culture & Commitment

You mention a “nerd driven spirit” but also “uncompromising professionalism.” How does that work daily?

For us, these two aspects form a single entity. Having a nerd driven spirit means we possess a deep, organic passion for complex technology and clean architecture. Uncompromising professionalism means we channel this passion into highly stable, secure, and production ready corporate ecosystems for our clients. We do not care about your clothing style, we care about the quality of your deployment and your strategic advice.

What happens when an engineer or consultant disagrees with a client’s architectural direction?

We speak up. Our core value guidance in combination with trust means, that we do not practice architecture theater just to maximise billable hours. If we see that a client is running toward an unstable setup or a costly migration mistake, we communicate this openly and constructively. We are hired for our expertise, not for nodding along to comfortable but flawed strategies.

How do you make complex technology understandable without oversimplifying it?

We believe that only what you truly understand can be communicated with confidence. Everything else is just noise with a headline. That is why we do not turn complex technology into generic cloud-native poetry. We take the time to understand the architecture, the trade-offs, the deployment reality and the business problem behind it.
Then we translate that substance into clear, credible communication, without sanding off the technical truth – we rather show it in detail.

How do you protect your culture from turning into a standard corporate environment as you grow?

By staying fiercely owner managed and fully self financed. We do not have outside investors pushing for rapid, unchecked headcount growth or demanding administrative micromanagement layers to justify fund metrics.
